Our aim with Guitar Coach magazine is to really appeal to ‘everyday’ guitar players, from beginners right through to gigging guitarists. We’re interested in both acoustic and electric guitar and all genres of music. The key essence of the magazine content is its practical and accessible style and approach. So your articles should be interesting, informative and entertaining – even motivational! You can share your opinions and insights as to what’s happening right now in the world of guitars and guitar playing.
In essence anything to do with guitars, guitarists and guitar playing! It could be about a music genre, playing style, guitar types, equipment and accessories or the latest apps. Your article must be factual and accurate, but you can offer your own opinions. If you are looking to contribute on a regular basis (i.e. once a week or a couple of times a month), you should pick a subject area that you can regularly write about. That way you can start to build your own profile and develop your own specialism and level of expertise.
Your articles should be between 1,400 and 2,000 words. All content should be original, unpublished and proofread for accuracy. Where possible, you should look to add imagery, graphics or video to support your piece and make it interesting and easily digestible to our audience. If you’re including video, then you will need to add the YouTube video embed code or web link when submitting your article. You must also check you have the rights and copyright clearance to include this material.
