2.1 Introduction

So now onto the rhythm guitar intro, using chords that you have been shown in week 1, interspersed with notes that provide the distinctive melody line.

Similarly, you will be able to play a rhythm pattern that you can “make your own” as this one is not an exact science. Feel is the thing to enable you to play along, with enjoyment and enthusiasm, but without too much constriction, to our great backing track at the end of the week.

By the end of this week you will have mastered something anyone who has heard the song will recognise.

Quick Tips
Make sure you can transition smoothly between the chords before you attempt to add in the melody lines. This will reduce any frustrations you may encounter during the learning phase, such as buzzing and muted notes.
